I didn’t get a chance to post all the pictures of the yurts that I took. Here they are. Click on the thumbnails to get larger views of the photos. Photos can also be clicked again to view separately.
Just wanted to let you know that I’ve been peeping in from time to time. I was born and raised here and recently moved back so if you have any questions or are looking for anything let me know.
Thanks. Any suggestions on where I should visit? With the nice weather coming on I want to do more entries on the natural sights around here. Someone just recently told me about some falls on Row River Rd past Dorena Lake. I will definitely have to visit those.
Yeah, there are several waterfalls up in the Brice and Layng Creek areas but right now you would be limited a bit by the snow. I’m not sure how far up it has melted yet. If you stop by the Forest Service office in Cottage Grove they have maps to the falls and usually know the snow levels.
If you like hiking trails I suggest the Brice Creek Trail which might have snow on it but you can drive to the trail head as the road was plowed after the storm. When the snow is completely gone try out Hardesty Mt. up the Layng creek drainage.
Seeing as how I got stuck twice in our last snowstorm, I think I’ll wait until the snow is gone. I’m a wimp that way. But thanks for the great tips. I will definitely be checking all of those out. Oh, and welcome back home.
